Can I feed my cat food that contains pork?

It depends on who you ask, but many scholars say it's better to avoid buying cat food with pork when good alternatives exist. Cats are allowed to eat meat that Muslims can't, so the issue is not the cat eating it but you buying and handling pork. Since pork-free cat food is easy to find, most Muslims simply choose that.
Your cat isn't bound by halal rules
Halal and haram are rules for people, not animals. A cat is a carnivore that naturally eats mice, birds and other animals Muslims don't eat. Feeding it non-halal chicken, beef or fish is generally fine according to scholars. What matters most is that your cat is fed well and cared for. The Prophet ﷺ told of a woman who went to the Fire because she locked up a cat and neither fed it nor let it hunt for itself (Sahih al-Bukhari 3482). See Can I keep a cat inside my house?
Why pork is different
Pork is not only forbidden to eat; most scholars also say a Muslim shouldn't buy, sell or trade in it. The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of alcohol, dead animals, pigs and idols (Sahih al-Bukhari 2236). On this basis, many scholars say you shouldn't spend money on pork products, even for an animal, when there is another option.
Others are more lenient. Some scholars say that buying pet food where pork is a minor ingredient, for an animal that is allowed to eat it, is a grey area rather than clearly haram, especially if your cat has a medical diet. Scholars also differ on how impure pork itself is, which affects how careful you need to be when handling it. See Can I keep a pet pig after becoming Muslim?
Practical options
- Read the label. Many brands use chicken, turkey, beef, lamb or fish only. Look out for "pork", "ham", "bacon" or vague "meat and animal derivatives".
- Choose fish or poultry flavours, which are widely available and usually pork-free.
- Look for halal-certified pet food, which is sold online in the UK, Europe and the USA.
- Vet diets: if your vet prescribes a special food and the only option contains pork, it's reasonable to follow the vet's advice while you look for an alternative.
Handling and cleanliness
If you do handle food with pork, wash your hands afterwards and use a separate bowl and spoon for the cat. Cats themselves are clean in Islam, so stroking your cat or letting it sit with you is fine. See Are cats clean in Islam?
