Can I pray in a football shirt?

Yes, you can pray in a football shirt. Your prayer is valid as long as the shirt is clean and your awrah is covered. Some scholars dislike praying in shirts with large images or betting and alcohol sponsors, but that doesn't cancel the prayer.
What makes the prayer valid
Two things matter for your clothes: they must be free of impurity (najasah), and they must cover your awrah. For men, that is from the navel to the knee (the Hanafi school includes the knee itself). The Prophet ﷺ also said no one should pray in a single garment with nothing over his shoulders (Sahih al-Bukhari 359), and a normal short-sleeved football shirt already covers that. For women, the whole body except the face and hands must be covered, so a football shirt alone isn't enough.
Sweat is pure, so a sweaty kit after a match doesn't stop you praying. Mud from the pitch is also fine unless you know it contains impurity. See Can I pray with a stain on my clothes?
Check your shorts too
The shirt is rarely the problem; the shorts often are. Many kit shorts end above the knee. If yours do, pull on tracksuit bottoms or long base-layer leggings before you pray. See Can I still wear shorts to the gym as a Muslim?
Badges, sponsors and slogans
Club crests often show animals, and many shirts carry betting or beer sponsors. Anas reported that Aisha hung a curtain with pictures on it, and the Prophet ﷺ asked her to remove it because its images kept coming to his mind in prayer (Sahih al-Bukhari 374). From this, scholars say praying in clothing with eye-catching images is disliked (makruh), though the prayer still counts. A small badge on the chest is a minor matter. A big gambling logo is more of a concern, since wearing it advertises something haram, so many scholars advise choosing a plain training top or an older kit without that sponsor.
Scholars take this verse as encouragement to pray in clean, decent clothes. A football shirt is fine for everyday prayer, but for Jumu'ah you'd normally put on something nicer.
Praying at the ground or the gym
You can pray at the side of the pitch, in a quiet corner of the changing room or in a stadium prayer room if there is one. Lay down a jacket or a small mat if the ground is muddy. See Where can I pray at the gym?
