Can I pray in tight leggings?

Not usually on their own. Thick, opaque leggings may cover the skin, but they show the shape of the body, and most scholars dislike praying like that. Thin leggings can become see-through when you bow and prostrate, and then the awrah is not covered. Wear a long top, tunic or prayer dress over them.
What a woman must cover in prayer
Most scholars say a woman must cover everything except the face and hands in prayer. The Hanafi school allows the feet to be uncovered, while the Shafi'i and Hanbali schools ask for them to be covered. The Quran tells us to dress properly whenever we are at worship:
The Prophet ﷺ also said that Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who has reached puberty unless she wears a head covering (Sunan Abi Dawud 641). The covering must be thick enough that the color of the skin cannot be seen.
Why leggings are a problem
- They stretch. Fabric that looks opaque while you stand can thin out over the knees, thighs and hips when you bow and prostrate. If skin shows, that part is uncovered and the prayer is affected.
- They show the shape. Even when nothing shows through, tight clothing outlines the body. Most scholars say praying in tight clothes is disliked (makruh), and it is a bigger issue if others can see you, for example in a mosque.
- They are hard to fix mid-prayer. If something shows, you have to stop and adjust.
Easy fixes
- Wear a long tunic or dress that covers the hips and thighs, at least to the knees.
- Put a long skirt over your leggings.
- Use a one-piece prayer dress that slips over everything.
- Wear a large scarf that falls over the chest and hips.
- Choose looser trousers for prayer if you pray at work or school.

If you already prayed in leggings
If your leggings were opaque and your top covered your hips, your prayer is generally fine, though it is better to cover more next time. If you later realize they were see-through, or part of your body showed for a while, ask a trusted local imam or scholar whether to repeat the prayer. Don't be anxious about what is past; just fix the habit. See What do I have to cover when praying at home alone?
- Women cover everything except face and hands in prayer.
- Leggings alone show the shape and may go see-through.
- A long top, skirt or prayer dress fixes the problem.
- If unsure about a past prayer, ask a trusted imam.
