Do I have to cover my feet as a Muslim woman?

It depends on the school. Most scholars (Maliki, Shafi'i and Hanbali) say a woman's feet are covered in front of non-mahram men. The Hanafi school says the feet may show. Many women follow the majority view with socks, closed shoes or long hems, while others wear sandals following the Hanafi view.
The hem hadith
When the Prophet ﷺ warned men against dragging their garments out of arrogance, Umm Salamah asked what women should do with their hems. He said to lower them a handspan. She replied, "Then their feet will be uncovered," and he said to lower them a forearm's length (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 1731). Many scholars take this as evidence that women's feet were meant to be covered, since the Prophet allowed longer hems specifically for that. See Does my hijab have to cover my chest?
School differences
- Hanafi: the feet aren't part of the required covering, as they're often exposed when walking and working, similar to the face and hands.
- Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali: the feet are covered in front of non-mahram men.
Both views have a long scholarly history. If you follow the Hanafi school, sandals are fine. If you're unsure, the majority view is the more cautious choice. See Is the hair bun under hijab haram?
In prayer
The same difference applies in prayer. The Hanafi school allows praying with bare feet. Shafi'i and Hanbali scholars say the feet must be covered for the prayer to be valid, so a long skirt or socks is needed. Maliki scholars consider it recommended. Many women simply wear a long prayer garment that covers their feet. See What do I have to cover when praying at home alone?
