How old will people be in Jannah?

According to hadith, the people of Jannah will be young adults, commonly described as around 33 years old, and they will never age. Whether someone died as a child or at 95, they will enter Paradise in the prime of youth, healthy and full of energy, forever.
Forever young
A narration in Jami' at-Tirmidhi describes the people of Paradise entering it without body hair, beardless, with kohl-darkened eyes, aged thirty or thirty-three. Scholars explain that this is the age of full strength and maturity, past the awkwardness of youth but long before any decline.
More importantly, there is no ageing in Jannah at all. The Prophet ﷺ said that a caller will announce to the people of Paradise that they will be healthy and never fall ill, live and never die, be young and never grow old, and enjoy blessings and never despair (Sahih Muslim 2837).
Created in a new form
The Quran describes the people of Paradise being recreated in a new way:
The following verses describe them as atrab, "of equal age" (Quran 56:37), which supports the idea that everyone is the same youthful age. The Prophet ﷺ also said Adam was created sixty cubits tall, and that everyone who enters Paradise will be in Adam's form (Sahih al-Bukhari 3326). The details are part of the unseen, but the message is clear: a perfect, renewed body.
What about the elderly and children?
- Older people will be young again. The Prophet ﷺ once gently joked with an elderly woman that old women won't enter Paradise, then explained that Allah will make them young when they enter. See Am I too old to become Muslim?
- Babies and children who died young are in Allah's care, and scholars say their parents will find them waiting. See What happens to babies who die in Islam?
- People with disabilities or illness will be completely free of them.
Why this matters now
Ageing, illness and loss are some of the hardest parts of life, especially if you've watched someone you love grow frail. Knowing that Jannah reverses all of it can be deeply comforting. It also reminds you not to tie your worth to looks or youth here, because the real renewal comes later. See What is Jannah?
- A hadith says the people of Paradise will be around 30 to 33 years old.
- No one ages, gets sick or dies in Jannah (Sahih Muslim 2837).
- Everyone is created anew, "of equal age" (Quran 56:35–37).
- The elderly become young and illnesses disappear.
