Is Jannah a real place?

Yes, Muslims believe Jannah (Paradise) is a real place, not just a symbol or a state of mind. It already exists, it was created by Allah, and believers will live there in body and soul forever. What it is fully like, though, is beyond our imagination.
A real place, already created
The Quran describes Jannah with concrete details: gardens, rivers, fruits, homes, clothes, and people meeting and talking. It also speaks of it as something already prepared:
"Prepared" is in the past tense, and Sunni scholars agree that Paradise and Hell exist now. Adam and Hawwa lived in a garden before coming to earth, and during the Night Journey (Isra' and Mi'raj) the Prophet ﷺ was shown Paradise. During an eclipse prayer, he also told his Companions that he had seen Paradise and reached towards a bunch of its fruit.
Real, but unlike anything here
Real doesn't mean ordinary. Allah said in a hadith qudsi: "I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined" (Sahih al-Bukhari 3244). The Quran says the same:
Ibn Abbas is reported to have said that nothing in this world resembles Paradise except the names. So the "fruit" and "rivers" are truly there, but far better than anything we know.
Where is it?
Islamic texts describe Jannah as above the seven heavens, with the highest level, al-Firdaws, just below the Throne of Allah. We don't know its location in physical terms, and we don't need to. It belongs to the unseen (al-ghayb), which Muslims believe in because Allah told us about it. See What is Jannah?
Body and soul together
On the Day of Resurrection, people are raised in their bodies. So the joys of Paradise are not only spiritual: people eat, drink, rest and enjoy each other's company. The greatest joy of all is seeing Allah. See What are the levels of Jannah? and Do Muslims believe in heaven and hell?
- Jannah is a real, created place, not a metaphor.
- It already exists and is "prepared for the righteous" (Quran 3:133).
- Its reality is beyond anything we can imagine (Sahih al-Bukhari 3244).
- People will enjoy it with body and soul, forever.
